Carly Kuntz is the Owner and Chief Relaxation Officer of The Waters – An Urban Spa Retreat. Carly's vision for the spa began nearly two decades ago when she realized there was an opportunity to enhance the level of service in the day spa industry and was determined to bring a high end resort-style experience to the day spa setting. Since The Waters opened in 2007, Carly has been thrilled to receive positive feedback from spa guests who say that The Waters is their favourite spa.

Carly provides support to Spa Directors, Allison Walker and Carly Martin, who expertly manage the spa from day-to-day and look into new ways to enhance spa visits. She now has time to focus her attention on entrepreneurial endeavors such as teaching Entrepreneurship at the University of Waterloo, and turning her creative energies to her marketing design and home design businesses. Carly is a firm believer in supporting others in entrepreneurship and creating possibilities for others to reach their highest potential. She is a dedicated employer, wife, mother, volunteer and proud member of the Waterloo region business community.
Spa Director - Business Development
Allison Walker is the Spa Director of Business Development for The Waters – An Urban Spa Retreat, beginning her career with The Waters as a Guest Service Coordinator in 2010. After earning a Bachelor of Arts from Laurier, Allison completed a Graduate Certificate program from Humber College in Hospitality and Tourism Management. Further coursework in team management and spa directorship have supported Allison’s natural leadership and organizational skills. Upon returning from maternity leave in 2019, Allison has been focusing her attention on business development and taking The Waters Spa to a new level of excellence.
Spa Director - Operations
Carly Martin, Spa Director of Daily Operations, began her career with The Waters – An Urban Spa Retreat as a Spa Attendant in 2011. Transitioning to a role as Guest Service Coordinator, Carly knew that her passion was assisting guests and ensuring that every guest experience was unsurpassed. Carly quickly entered a Front Desk Management role, and has recently been promoted to Spa Director of Operations. With a strong focus on customer service excellence, Carly takes pride in making our guests feel warm and welcomed every day.
We have a professional, dedicated team at The Waters waiting to care for you soon. Our therapists bring a wealth of education and training to their professions, as well as a variety of work and life experiences. We are here to nurture you and help you to relax and find balance.
Our Estheticians are highly trained individuals who value the pursuit of excellence and are passionate about providing the utmost professional and nurturing experience for our guests. Services include: Body Rituals, Hand and Foot Rituals, Relaxation Massages, Facials, and Waxing.
Registered Massage Therapists:
Our Registered Massage Therapists are highly trained professionals who are passionate about providing therapeutic and healing massages for our guests. An insurance receipt will be issued after the massage has been received.
Guest Service Coordinators:
Our Guest Service Coordinators will welcome you with a warm smile and a friendly hello. They will be of assistance to you throughout the day to ensure that your stay with us is perfect.
Our Spa Attendants work very hard behind the scenes to ensure that our spa environment is sparkling throughout the day.
